Madagascar
There is a small, unassuming spot on the west coast of Madagascar where light cream-colored geodes are found. The surprise is that when opened, they reveal themselves to contain these beautiful sky-blue crystals of the strontium sulfate celestite. This is a fine example, a good deep vug bristling with softly-colored points, 8 inches wide.
