Seymchan - Iron pallasite (PMG)
Hekandue River, Seymchan, Magadan District, Russia
From the very small portion of the famed Russian fall containing olivine "space gems", this fine cabinet specimen has been sliced from a concave section, with a good curving face of rust-colored fusion crust, the cut interior surfaces polished and acid etched to show the Widmanstätten patterns of the silvery matrix, holding a profusion of glimmering green olivine crystals, 2 3/8 inches wide and weighing approximately 325 grams.
