Two Chinese carved jade plaques: one of translucent white coloration and ruyi-head shape, finely carved to show a sage in a garden; the other pale celadon, of floral form, one side with stylized ruyi scrolls surrounding a floral medallion, the verso with petals issuing from a yin-yang symbol centering a pierced aperture; 19th Century; W: 4 1/2" (larger)
