Important archaic Chinese, Early Western Zhou Dynasty bronze (gui) covered vessel: a fantastical animal-headed handle to either side, the wide body with raised band of intertwined geometric panels above raised ridges and a splayed base, all set on three legs issuing from animal heads; the domed cover with inscription to interior, attractive overall patina and with some encrustation; W: 15"
