CAMPO DEL CIELO METEORITE WITH NATURALLY FORMED HOLE

From the remote "Valley of the Sky" in Argentina comes this celestial objet d'art. The tapering, organic-seeming form of this meteorite would alone be of special aesthetic interest, but the thrill here is in the large 1 1/2 x 1 1/8 inch naturally-formed hole. This fascinating specimen features uncanny dips and ridges and is dusted with an attractive pale orange-brown tint. Meteorites exhibiting such superb character are rare and much sought after. This mesmerizing specimen measures 10 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches and is presented on a custom Lucite base. It weighs approximately 23 pounds.
