FISH PLAQUE WITH LEAF
Diplomystus dentatus, Knightia sp.
Eocene
Green River Formation, Wyoming, USA

A large fossil Diplomystus fish is contrasted with a fossil Hickory Leaf and a small fossil Knightia fish. This rare and unusual fossil mural was found in the famous 18' layer of the Green River Stone Company quarry near Kemmerer Wyoming. The mural is framed in African Wenge wood and is backed with a French cleat to facilitate wall hanging. Mural measures approximately 31 inches high by 49 inches wide.
