The three excellent specimens here of the echinoderm order Ophiurida are preserved with superb definition and texture in a warm rust-orange coloring. They have long coiling arms from a disc-shaped body, with a button-like filter-feeding opening at the center, known as the madreporite. These fine examples are dramatically positioned on an attractive speckled matrix, 9 x 7 1/4 inches.
