Of particularly impressive size and appearance, this magnificent plaque displays the fossilized remains of numerous orthoceras cones and small ammonites, denizens of the 350 million-year-old oceans that are today's Western Sahara Desert. Beautifully preserved in bright whites and grays, they stand in terrific aesthetic contrast to the swirling, galactic patterning of the rich black and warm earthy tones of the matrix, making for a large and dramatic display piece; approx. 61" x 45 3/4" x 3/4"
