MINERAL SPHERE QUARTET
The largest, at 3 1/2 inches in diameter, a gorgeous planetary banding of rich brown and shimmering gold tiger eye from Presco Mine, Africa; the others of 3 inches in diameter, comprising the vivid greens and patterns of malachite form the Democratic Republic of Congo; the soft gray and muted mauve of petrified wood from China; and vivid fluorescent purple ruby crystals on a swirling gray ground of cordierite from Orissa, India.
