This fascinating 6 inch diameter sphere has been skillfully carved from a single piece of amethyst geode, left with a deep mouth-like vug in its smoothly polished surface, lined with finely-colored mauve amethyst crystals. The remainder of the surface displays the lovely soft white and brown-gray patterning of agate's concentric growth.
