The Gokwe Zambezi Valley in central Zimbabwe is renowned for its fine and rare specimens of petrified wood, as offered here. The rich emerald green of these two specimens is a relatively rare occurrence elsewhere, making these two examples of 220 million year old wood particularly attractive, each with polished faces and rugose exterior retaining areas of original bark, 5 3/4 and 3 3/4 inches wide.
