This location in Florida is renowned for its superb combination fossil clam and calcite specimens. The present example is of good size, one side of the tumultuous seabed matrix displaying the lovely chalky white and creamy yellow of a 4 1/4 inch wide fossil clam, whilst the obverse reveals a wonderful profusion of gently golden calcite crystals growing within the petrified shell.
