DRAMATIC SPINY TRILOBITE

The most bizarre-looking trilobites are to be found in the 380 million year old deposits of this region of western Morocco, of which the Koneprusia is one of the most impressive, with spines all over its carapace, finely prepared here with incredibly delicate protruding eye stalks and a section of gray matrix retained to form a tapering plinth base, 1 3/4 in. long and 2 1/2 in. high overall.
