SPLIT AMMONITE

The exterior of this 7 1/4 inch wide ammonite still retains some of the purple iridescence of its nacreous shell lining, but far more dramatic is the split and polished interior, with undulating chamber walls and fillings of rich olive green and dark honey-colored calcite.
