The synapsids were a clade of mammal-like reptiles that flourished 270 million years ago. Laoporus is known only from its footprints - trace fossils - with no bones having ever been discovered. This superbly preserved trail comprises a set of roughly 1 inch long footprints on a chalky white matrix measuring 10 x 22 3/4 inches.
