MEGALODON TOOTH

Prior to the seventeenth century, these monstrous teeth were believed to come from the mouths of dragons. Thereafter, it was assumed that the Megalodon was a form of shark, and although it now has its own distinct classification, the question is still debated. This fine example displays a lovely gray patina and white-speckled black root, 5 1/4 inches long.
