12th century (or earlier) Indian finely carved red sandstone bust of Nagaraja; finely detail features with warm expression, hair with curled bangs held in place by decorative headband with beads in relief, topped with bun with floral design, fully surrounded by canopy of cobras, mounted on contemporary display stand, museum number on reverse base; overall good condition, section of canopy fragmented; Without Base H 10" (Approx.)
